Rinko Kawauchi
Rinko Kawauchi
1972年出生日本滋賀縣，4 歲跟隨父母遷居到大阪，畢業於成安女子短期大学。大學時學習平面設計，在學校的攝影課上初次接觸暗房技巧，在幽暗的空間中沖洗照片，由自己控制出想像中畫面的創作方式令他漸漸著迷於攝影。
大學畢業後，由於沒有經濟能力繼續深造，川內選擇進入大阪一間設計公司的攝影部門工作。彼時的攝影界大多數都是由男性占據主導地位，作為部門成立 20 年來的第一位女性，任職第一天他就聽到「是誰讓一個女人進來的？」這樣的言論。儘管如此，做為菜鳥的他仍在前輩們的指導下習得許多攝影技術。而隨著對攝影手法的逐漸深入，他也愈發希望能夠以自己想要的方式拍攝照片。
受到泡沫化經濟影響，任職一年後，公司的攝影部門解散，川內於是轉往東京發展成為自由工作者，並同時進行自己的創作。初次嶄露頭角是在1997年，以系列照〈うたたね〉獲得第 9 回一坪展攝影部門首獎。隨後舉辦展覽，工作也接踵而至，不過川內仍對這樣的狀態 Llegir més...
