SOLITAIRESOLITAIRE is a publishing label named after the card game, based on the idea that “humans are inherently solitary.” It aims to explore paradoxical forms of human happiness through resonance with others.

The project is led by art director Kei Sakawaki, with collaborators including graphic designer Hiroaki Hidaka and fashion designer Yuki Sato. Previously, SOLITAIRE collaborated with photographer Mayumi Hosokura to publish 12 BOOKS, producing and releasing one printed work per month over the course of ayear. Future plans include projects involving various artistsand a publication series focusing on the works of Kotori Kawashima.
