DuRi Baek’s’s first archival book, compiling major works from the past four years. From the beginning of the "Jari of the Light" series to the works presented in the solo exhibition "BASK IN", it offers a comprehensive look at how her vision and language have evolved over time. Featured are representative series such as Jari, Majung, Bawi wi, Toward, and Hope in chronological order, along with a selection of early works never before shown in exhibitions.

I have often felt confused by the coexistence of opposing forces—life and death, damage and healing, desire and helplessness, light and darkness. Contradictory situations and dual emotions have had a strong influence on my work.

After encountering the shadows of plants, I realized that what once seemed like opposites are not separate at all. I now accept that I live within the tension and conflict of opposing forces. Perhaps they are not enemies but partners, helping each other maintain balance. What leans too far to one side cannot be called natural. Through emptiness and fullness, through light and shadow, I move toward balance.

I seek to depict the unity, the cycles, and the equilibrium of opposites.
