高梨豐
1935年生於東京，自日本大學藝術系畢業後，進入桑沢設計研究所，師承大辻清司。50年代末期從事攝影創作，不僅活躍於廣告攝影界前線，同時走上街頭、以「都市」為核心主題，透過自身對城市的獨特視角，捕捉了東京渾沌而真實的樣貌。
1966年1月，高梨豐開始在《相機每日》雜誌上連載《東京人》系列，採用接近窺視的方式，將東京作為一個正面的文明都市，由中擷取各樣要素，如同拼貼畫般構成了某種客觀視角。1974年，他出版攝影集《都市へ》，而之前拍攝的《東京人》則以別冊的形式收入其中，為確立其大師地位的代表性傑作。另一方面，1977年的作品《町》一改使用小型相機拍攝黑白流動的畫面，反以4×5大型相機對焦於全彩靜態的東京舊街景，成為新興類型的地景攝影。
