In this deeply personal book, photographer Aili Markelius explores the innermost corners of the human psyche. With her camera as a tool, she approaches her fellow human beings as much as she seeks herself. The images hover in the borderland between reality and dream – and sometimes they approach true nightmares. This is an exquisite book in the small format, but with high specific gravity. Aili Markelius is one of Sweden's most promising young art photographers. Her pictures have been exhibited in a number of galleries, including Fotografiska in Stockholm.
