NIGO’s first large-scale retrospective overseas, NIGO: From Japan with Love, will be held at the Design Museum in London from May 1 to October 4. The exhibition features more than 700 items, including a recreation of his childhood room in Maebashi, Gunma; the facade of the legendary Harajuku shop NOWHERE, which opened in 1993; and his latest tea room space, DROPHAUS. It offers a comprehensive overview of NIGO’s career spanning over three decades.
In conjunction with the exhibition, Casa BRUTUS will publish an English-language compilation of its long-running coverage of NIGO, spanning from the December 2000 issue featuring Jean Prouve to the January 2026 Utsuwa special and the new HUMAN MADE office. Titled Casa BRUTUS By NIGO ENGLISH VERSION, the volume traces the evolution of NIGO’s spaces and collections－from his atelier and vintage furniture to denim, houses, NOT A HOTEL, and tea bowls.
