In simple black and white photos, he captures the elementary human experience in nature on the edge of the habitable world. Following Arctic Heroes (2020), Where the World is Melting is Ragnar Axelsson’s second publication with Kehrer Verlag and includes, among others, the well-known series Faces of the North, Glacier, and Last Days of the Arctic as well as a previously unpublished series.
This book, published on the occasion of the eponymous exhibition, offers a first personal look at Ragnar Axelsson’s life’s work.
