須田一政 (4/24/1940 - 3/7/2019) 為東京神田人，生在二次大戰末期後急速發展的狂潮，與受西化影響而退燒的傳統文化之間，體會著各種生機、精神質地或美學奧義如何在日常生活中消長，因而醞釀出獨到目光，雖然不複雜卻精準無比，恰好攫得住轉瞬即逝的細膩變化。畢生從事攝影逾半世紀的須田一政，發表過許多以旅行、日常、文學與傳統戲劇為題的作品如《風姿花傳》、《人間的記憶》、《民謠山河》、《日常碎片》⋯⋯等，並曾獲日本攝影協會新人獎、第一屆東川獎、第 16 屆土門拳獎等具有標誌性意義的獎項。
